The 2024 Paris Olympics are officially underway. After one of the most unique Opening Ceremonies the event has ever seen -- including the Parade of Nations taking place on boats along the Seine River -- athletes are set to begin many of the competitions this week, starting on Saturday.
The Olympic cauldron was lit on Friday night in another incredibly unique way as instead of a traditional cauldron, the torch lit a hot-air balloon into the sky to officially kick off the Games, followed by an amazing performance by Celine Dion -- her first public performance since being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in 2022.
Now, many sports begin on Saturday, including Men's Basketball, various Swimming events, and Indoor Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.
